log into the auction site (http://auction.mcds.org/),
click on Account, click on Wins/Payment. You may choose to print your bill and
pay by check, or you may pay online via credit card.
Please
note that items are billed to the individual who placed the bid, not to the
household. So, if two parents are bidding on different items, each of them
needs to check their own account.
Once
you have paid for your wins, please pick up hard items in the Dawn Beck's
Office (near Sherla) between May 24th and June 4th . Please notify us
when you will be coming.

If
you are the lead bidder for a group (consortium), which has bought an item
together, please contact Ellen McGlynn (927-5937 or emcglynn@mcds.org ) and give her the
names of the people in your group. Each person should pay his/her share
directly to MCDS, either by check or by phoning in a credit card number. We
will issue a tax receipt to each person for the payment amount above Fair
Market Value for their share of the winning bid. The development office needs
the names of all consortium members no later than May 25th.
Paper
invoices will be mailed on Thursday, May 27th.

The Wild Things Are by Dave Eggers
First edition copy of The Wild Things signed by Dave Eggers. Maurice Sendak provided us with the wild things; Dave Egger developed them into sentient beings. We reap the benefit of Sendak’s pictures (in our memories) enriched by Egger’s prose. Like Max himself, The Wild Things is wildly imaginative. It is a deeply satisfying fantasy, finely wrought with emotion, perception, and misperception. This book comes with authenticating certificate from Eggers writing workshop "826 Valencia" stating date of signing.

"Count Me In" Join the MCDS Administrative Team for an Evening of Laughs!
Enjoy a night of stand-up comedy at 142 Throckmorton Theatre in Mill Valley. We will have wine and hors d’oeuvres on the mezzanine, and sit together in the balcony for the comedy show featuring Mark Pittiand friends. Each Tuesday is a mixed bag of stand-up, but you might also see sketches, improv, music, and video. Luminaries include Dana Carvey, Robin Williams, Richard Lewis, Mort Sahl, Arj Barker, Jack Gallagher, Hal Sparks, Dick Gregory and Kevin Nealon. So grab some friends and, as the kids would say, join us to LOL!

School auctions are great ways for local companies to get exposure. Over 400 Bay Area residents partake in the MCDS auction. It’s important for all of our partners to know that parents and friends of the school enjoy looking through the online website, scouting to see donated items, participating in friendly bidding competitions and procuring their favorite items - - knowing the money they bid raises funds to support Marin Country Day School’s Indexed Tuition Program.
