Summer Reading
Reading remains one of life's great pleasures. At MCDS, we ask students to read for pleasure in the summer.
Given the short nature of the summer of 2010, Upper School faculty are asking students to read a minimum of two books.
In 6th and 8th grades, summer reading is one required title and one book from the published list; the required book will be the topic of the opening English lessons in those two grades.
In 5th and 7th grades, students may choose any two titles from the grade level summer reading lists.
