Summer Reading
Reading remains one of life's great pleasures. At MCDS, we ask students to read for pleasure during the summer.
In grades K - 4, students may select any of the suggested titles.
In Upper School, faculty are asking students to read a minimum of two books in 5th grade and three books in grades 6, 7 and 8.
In 5th grade, students may choose any two titles from that grade's summer reading list.
In 6th, 7th and 8th grades, summer reading is one (1) required title plus two (2) books from the published list.
