Step forward with us.

Thank you for your interest in the Step Forward Campaign!  As Co-Chairs of the campaign, we are excited to share our progress with you. 

The strategic initiatives outlined in Strategic Plan 2006 (environmental sustainability, technology, and global awareness and engagement) are moving ahead steadily.  As we integrate these threads seamlessly into our curriculum, we provide students with the skills and competencies to navigate their complex and rapidly changing world.

Our beautiful campus improvements – including new and renovated classrooms, administration building, art studios, music spaces and Learning Resource Center, plus playground, Step-Up courtyard and creek restoration – provide comfortable and inspirational spaces for teaching, learning, gathering and play.  Students, teachers, staff and parents have eagerly settled in and continue to discover new ways the buildings enhance curriculum and campus life.

Fundraising continues as we strive to reach our ambitious $20 million goal.  We are thankful for the dedication and leadership of our campaign committee, our Board of Trustees and Lucinda Lee Katz.  Even in these tough economic times, the support of MCDS families, past and present, has been truly remarkable.
