Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is the most important fundraising effort at MCDS each year. Because tuition alone does not cover the actual cost of providing an MCDS education, the school relies on voluntary, tax-deductible contributions to help make up the 7% annual operating budget gap. For the 2012-13 school year, the gap per student is $2,800.

Because the need is great, every member of the school community is asked to contribute to the Annual Fund each year. We are grateful for the generous, continued support of current and former families, grandparents, alumni and faculty/staff. Our goal is 100% participation from current families and faculty/staff.

The things that make MCDS such a vibrant place for children to learn and develop—personal attention from dedicated teachers, an engaging curriculum, arts and athletics at all grade levels, a diverse student body—depend on a thriving Annual Fund. Every single gift makes a difference to our students.
