You will have the option to sign up for a Community Visit and/or submit an inquiry form. We suggest that parents attend a Community Visit before submitting an application. MCDS seeks to enroll students who demonstrate the capacity and motivation to affirm our core values of respect, responsibility and compassion and to find success in a comprehensive and challenging program.

From its inception the school has attracted from San Francisco and Marin a diverse group of families of extraordinary commitment and generosity of spirit. MCDS could not be what it is today without its shared value system and the selfless contributions of parents, who give their time and expertise as volunteers and who actively support the school's goals and aspirations.

When parents are interested and involved at school, it signals to children that school is important, and enhances their whole educational experience. Last year alone over 27,000 volunteer hours were committed to MCDS. A wide variety of volunteer opportunities with differing time commitments is meant to encourage all families to contribute energy and skills to the community as their individual circumstances permit.
