This after-school performing arts program fosters a non-competitive, child-centered environment where students may immerse themselves in musical study. Students learn technique, ear training, theory, reading, and improvisation.
MCDS offers an after-school program (PM) for children in grades K-4. The PM Program provides a safe, caring, engaging and playful environment.
The PM Program provides a blend of structured and self-directed activities in an informal atmosphere. Activities may include indoor and outdoor games, arts and crafts projects, building and construction projects, free play and informal sports activities. PM also provides time for homework, relaxation and exploration. Afternoon snacks are provided as well.
With after-school classes designed to stimulate a child's natural curiosity, the ASAP Program offers unique opportunities for children to interact with friends in an in-depth study of a particular area of interest.
Classes cover a broad range of subjects from science, arts and crafts, and sports, to chess, cooking, and martial arts. Classes are held Monday through Friday and meet once a week for 10 weeks.
