With nearly 30 years in education—as a leader, teacher, and lifelong learner—I’ve come to believe that the true heart of a school beats not just in the pursuit of intellectual wonder, but in the powerful sense of belonging it cultivates, the strength of character it inspires, and the unwavering devotion to its values and community that defines it.

MCDS nurtures thoughtful, confident, self-aware students through an uncompromising, child-centered, and deeply engaging academic program that delivers both breadth and depth of content, skills, and knowledge. Our students are challenged and supported in equal measure, emerging exceptionally well-prepared for high school and beyond. Just as essential is our campus itself—an expansive outdoor classroom that is intentionally woven into the academic curriculum, allowing children the freedom to explore, connect with nature, and discover themselves in the process.
