For those interested in applying for the 2022-23 school year, you may register for a Campus Tour or Self-Guided Family Tour on Ravenna.
A vital part of learning about MCDS is at our in-person Campus Tours where you will have the opportunity to meet our Head of School, Katherine Dinh, our Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Division Heads, and our Admission Team. These visits will include an extensive on campus tour hosted by current MCDS parents. We are excited to have the opportunity to have parents/guardians on campus this year, however in following safety protocols, all indoor classrooms and buildings will be inaccessible to parents/guardians during the tour. Thus, we ask that you view the Program and Place Video prior to attending, as this will offer a closer look at our curriculum and community. A campus visit is a required part of the admission process. Please note that parents/guardians may alternatively choose to visit our campus during the weekend for a Self-Guided Family Tour to fulfill this admission step. Please register for all events through Ravenna.
Held on select days from October 2021 to January 2022.
For those interested in applying for the 2022-23 school year, you may register for a Self-Guided Family Tour. This event is optional or may fulfill the 'campus tour' portion of the admission process.
A Self-Guided Family Tour will provide your family an opportunity to visit the beautiful 35 acre campus in Corte Madera, just 9 miles from Golden Gate Bridge. In accordance with social distancing guidelines, attendance will be staggered at these events. The tour will be marked but self-guided. Parents/guardians are invited with their children, as there will be activities along the way for the whole family.

In response to the continued impact of COVID-19, a number of Bay Area independent schools banded together to offer virtual Kindergarten videos that parents/guardians may record from the comfort of their home. We are committed to continuing this partnership for the 2021-22 admission season. In addition, we will invite parents/guardians and their rising Kindergarteners to an on-campus play date for an opportunity for an experience on the MCDS campus and to meet teachers and peers in person.
Videos can be filmed on a cell phone in the comfort of your home or any other setting. No special preparation, materials, or equipment will be required. Detailed instructions on how to complete this requirement will be communicated directly to parents when they apply.
Virtual Assessment: Grade 6 applicants are required to attend virtual Admission Day that will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Applicants will meet Upper School faculty and other students applying for admission.
Supplemental Assessments: Grade 6 applicants will be required to submit supplemental assessments. More information is provided on your Ravenna dashboard.
