Parents/guardians of potential applicants who are interested in learning more about MCDS are welcome to join us for our General Reception, held at MCDS on October 23, 2024. This admission reception will focus on our K-8 programs. Students, teachers, staff and parent/guardian volunteers provide additional perspectives on the MCDS community. Adult only event.

MCDS will be providing bus transportation from San Francisco for the General Reception. The bus will leave the Presidio Officers' Club parking lot at 5:15 PM. The return bus will leave MCDS at 7:40 PM. This is an opportunity to experience the students daily commute to and from MCDS! 

If you are registering for the General Admission Reception, and would like to ride the bus to and from the event, you must register separately in Ravenna under General Reception Bus Transportation (space is limited).

Parents/guardians of potential applicants who are residents of San Francisco and are interested in learning more about MCDS are welcome to join us for this gathering. This evening reception will focus on the MCDS experience for our San Francisco families. Topics may include community connections, bus experience, curriculum, school life and more. We invite all San Francisco-based prospective parents/guardians to join us for a short program and informational conversation with MCDS parents who reside in San Francisco, teachers, students and administrators.  Adult only event.

Parents/guardians of potential applicants who are interested in learning more about MCDS are welcome to join us for this gathering. As an extension to our commitment nurturing a diverse and inclusive community, we invite all prospective parents/guardians to join us for a short program and informational conversation with Head of School Katherine Dinh, faculty, students, parents/guardians.

One of our goals is to acknowledge, understand and embrace diversity of all forms. In support of this goal, the Board adopted our Statement of Community Inclusion in 2010. This event offers an opportunity to explore our community connections based on ability, age, ethnicity, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic class. Learn about our community values, commitment and action towards our DEI efforts as a whole community.

This event is an opportunity for students and parents/guardians interested in grades 5, 6 and 7 Grades to visit our Upper School together. This is an opportunity to meet our Upper School faculty, learn about curriculum and student life, and attend "mini-classes."

Please join us for this evening affinity space for prospective parents/guardians who identify as LGBTQIA+ and those with a child who identifies as LGBTQIA+ and/or exploring their gender identit(ies). Mingle with current teachers, parents/guardians, and trustees to learn more about the LGBTQIA+ family experience at MCDS.

Affinity Space: a space that can reinforce positive self-images, reaffirm identity, and can address issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

6:00pm - 7:30pm at San Francisco University High School (3065 Jackson Street, San Francisco, 94115)

Please join us for an evening to mix and mingle with current teachers, parents/guardians, and students in an affinity space for people/families of color. You will have another opportunity to talk to our community members about what it is like to be a family of color at MCDS, as well as hear from a few wonderful speakers.  If you would like to attend this event, please RSVP and we will send more details. Adults only. 

We understand that the term people of color may or may not fit an individual’s personal preference on how they identify. It is, however, a term that MCDS and NAIS (National Association of Independent Schools) commonly use.
