After School Programs

MCDS offers a variety of after-school enrichment programs for students in grades K-8. On a typical afternoon, a student might take music lesson or an enrichment course after school and/or go to the PM after-school program for supervised activities with friends before taking the 5:00pm bus home.

ASAP (After School Enrichment Classes)

The ASAP Program offers a variety of courses for students in grades K-4. Each of the three ASAP sessions (fall, winter and spring) is 7-11 weeks long. The offerings change frequently. Classes include sports, robotics, martial arts, programming, arts and crafts and cooking.

PM (After School Extended Care Program)

PM, our after-school extended care program, provides a safe, caring, engaging and playful environment for students in grades K-4. PM is open after school hours Monday through Friday until 6:00pm.

Activities include indoor and outdoor games, arts and crafts, building and design-related projects, free play and informal sports activities. PM also provides time for homework, relaxation and exploration. Afternoon snacks are included.

Homework Cafe (Grades 5-8)

The Homework Café is a supervised study hall for Upper School students (grades 5-8). Students work together and individually in the Learning Resource Center on homework and other school projects. Homework Café is offered without charge.

FORTE (After School Music Program)

FORTE is an after-school music program for students in grades K-8.

Private and group instruction is available for (but not limited to) guitar, piano, saxophone, violin, drums and vocalists.

Potions Week 2019!

We just held our fourth annual Potions Week, and this year, the students got to explore cloud dough, fluffy snow, slime, and rainbow potions! Enjoy this glimpse into our fun-filled week!
