In our first "Ask A Kindergartener" article of the year, we asked our new kindergarteners what their favorite movies were. Enjoy!
After School Programs
MCDS offers a variety of after-school enrichment programs for students in grades K-8. On a typical afternoon, a student might take music lesson or an enrichment course after school and/or go to the PM after-school program for supervised activities with friends before taking the 5:00pm bus home.
- ASAP (After School Enrichment Classes)
- PM (After School Extended Care Program)
- Homework Cafe (Grades 5-8)
- FORTE (After School Music Program)
PM, our after-school extended care program, provides a safe, caring, engaging and playful environment for students in grades K-4. PM is open after school hours Monday through Friday until 6:00pm.
Activities include indoor and outdoor games, arts and crafts, building and design-related projects, free play and informal sports activities. PM also provides time for homework, relaxation and exploration. Afternoon snacks are included.
As part of our commitment to DEI work, we started a new article series this year called "I am." In the first article, we talked to a second grader about what identity is.
Check out our first "Why We Work in After School" post of the year! This time around, we feature our fantastic Director of After School Programs, Heather Nunn!
