Come join the fun as other MCDS families and families living at Homeward Bound's Oma Village celebrate the holiday season together!  Mirroring the long tradition of Home Sweet Home on the MCDS campus, this parallel event will happen on Saturday, Dec. 7 (the day before the event on campus), with families decorating gingerbread houses with candy and icing to take home.

You and your family are invited to experience first-hand one of Homeward Bound of Marin's newest programs, Oma Village, where 14 formally homeless families live together in individual apartments surrounding a lovely playground and community room.

Which event should my family attend, the one at MCDS on Dec. 8 or the one at Oma Village in Novato on Dec. 7?
Your family is welcome to attend either or both, but know that the Dec. 7 event has limited space, so you will need to RSVP as soon as possible to reserve your spot!
For whom is this event appropriate?
Both events are appropriate for children K-8.  The outdoor playground space at Oma Village is enclosed and easily accessible from the community room where the event will be taking place, but again, it is not as large as the MCDS playground, so space will be limited.
How do I RSVP and buy a gingerbread house?
Registration forms for both events are now open! Click on the green button above to buy a gingerbread house, buy a to-go gingerbread house, and/or register for Home Sweet Home at MCDS. Click on the purple button above to buy a gingerbread house and register for Home Sweet Homeward Bound at Oma Village.
What is Homeward Bound of Marin?
Homeward Bound of Marin is the primary provider of Marin County homeless shelters and services for homeless families and individuals in Marin, California and committed to "opening doors to safety, dignity, hope and independence” for our neighbors experiencing homelessness.
