If the new redwood benches in Upper School could talk they would be able to tell tales spanning three centuries!
The benches that form the outside seating area next to the new Creekside building were fabricated from two salvaged Redwood trees estimated to be roughly 300 years old. The Redwood trees were found in Eureka, CA and then transformed into our new benches by Minka Studio.
The benches have quickly become a popular gathering spot for Upper School students -- giving the centuries-old wood a new life at MCDS!
